Literacy


Children from neighboring underprivileged communities will receive thousands of glossy hard bound dictionaries from the Rotary Club Of Manhattan Beach in association with the Stein-metz Foundation. This is often the first and only book in their home.

Hunger


Locally, the Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach partners with the Salvation Army, to deliver hot meals to seniors and the disabled throughout the South Bay. Internationally, the Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach provides millet grinding machines to village women.

Scholarships


The largest portion of the Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach's budget goes back into the Manhattan Beach community in the form of community scholarships and awards. The Rotary Club recognizes students, teachers, police officers and firemen for outstanding achievements.

Polio


In 2010-2011, President Roger Cox, Rotary District 5280, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will be partnering with Rotary International to eradicate polio from the face of the planet. Help us cross the finish line!

Clean Water


$3,000 of donated money was leveraged into $60,000 though a Rotary matching grant to provide clean water, sanitation and solar power to school children in French-speaking Mali, Africa.
